hi there , Alivia is now 6 months now and has we have just been told she has Phace Syndrome after a series of fits she was rushed in the hospital, and after a MRI scan we found out that she had a stroke , what a shock ! we didn't even know that baby's could have strokes .
She was born with a red mark on the right side of her face which we were told was bruising due to a quick birth, this grew and when she 4 weeks old we were told this mark which was now alot bigger and raised was a birthmark which would fade ,she was rushed in to hospital for a operation on right eye as this birth mark was growing over her eye the doctors wanted to save her sight. Alivia was put on a course of steroids and when the doctors came to take her down for the operation they made the decision ont to operate as her eye was beginning to open.

Things were going well with regular appointments at the eye hospital Alivia began to ween off the steroids.

3 wks ago Alivia was ill we thought that she was teething as she was not settling , this went on for a couple of days then on a Monday morning she began to have little fits which lasted about 30 seconds i took her straight to the doctor who told us to go straight up the hospital, they gave her some medic an to stop these fits and later did lots of tests including the MRI which was when we found out about the stroke .

A couple of days later at the hospital and after more test we were told that Alivia had Phace Syndrome.
